iPhone 5 Release Date

The iPhone 5 release date seems to be honing down to Fall, and iPhone 5 release rumors are alive & well with features like a new iOS6 and revamped iCloud alongside an iTunes streaming service. Whatever your favorite theory is on the iPhone 5 release date (June or September/October), news this week brought concepts like a bigger four inch screen, sharper image with 50% more dpi (to match the iPad 3 release), a thinner iPhone 5 gained momentum with news from last week’s liquidmetal rumors, and finally the ever-present debate around the iPhone 5 release date: June at WWDC or in the Fall like the iPhone 4s release date from last year.

iPhone 5 Release Date

iPhone 5 release date theories are heavily split into two camps, I’m sure most of you are familiar with them by now: will the iPhone 5 release be announced at the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June in San Francisco, or a release date announcement in the Fall (September / October) like last year.  The week's scuttlebut seems to favor an introduction of iOS 6 at the WWDC, with the iPhone 5 release date coming in the Fall (as per MSNBC), as per last year. Still, a few die hards seem to think the iPhone 5 release will be announced at the WWDC.
I favor the (totally unpredictable) yearly release theory of iPad release in the early Spring, new iOS at WWDC and the new iPhone 5 release in the Fall for two reasons: 1) from a PR perspective, Apple never goes too long without the next big thing for the interweb to speculate on. 2) From a production standpoint, Apple gets lots of breathing room to focus solely on single initiatives rather than  too many overlapping items. The technology kiss of death is to take resources away from one item to focus on another item to try and release both on the same release date. Savvy technology peeps know better, and Apple is savvy like that.
Some believe on the iPhone 5 release date announcement as part of the WWDC logo. Michael Nace has us looking to the WWDC for visually embedded clues of "a succession of implied 5s throughout the multicolored WWDC logo," but might be pulling our leg with the following "of course, if you cock your head to the right, you see what looks like a series of apps or screens shooting upward." Can you see it?

iPhone 5 Features

The current consensus is revolving around the WWDC being for a software-focused launch of iOS6 and an iCloud upgrade. Theories abound, but in brief: iOS6 upgrades look to include an upgrade to Siri, which when launched last year seemed to be something that Apple was putting a lot of weight behind. It was a big launch, then Apple went back to the lab to "think different" and double down on new ways to use Siri. Hopefully we'll see good new things, with possible inclusion of iPad and IPod Touch for Siri. Hot new iPhone features include the new NFC patent that could allow for iTunes purchases, according to the International Business Times.
iCloud is another area "ripe” for an upgrade. Things to look for include: improved coordination between devices (duh) and (hopefully) a package of some kind of that includes all or some of the following items 1) a streaming music service that features a monthly package for streaming music, 2) a streaming TV show service (that could go well with the supposed Apple TV or iTV) and 3) streaming music service. These could do well with social media interaction and “realtime listening” and “realtime viewing,” part of the promise of the oncoming connected TV and streaming music future. Renting online media is kind of dead, a la carte consumption for a monthly fee is oh so hot right now.
The debate on an iTunes streaming music service revolves around whether or not it would kill iTunes Music Store sales, so this one is 50/50. Same goes for TV shows and movies, plus: do they want to compete with Spotify, Netflix, Hulu et al? They could either continue down a road of media ownership or adapt to the current trend of streaming services. They risk falling behind if they don’t, they risk cannibalizing iTunes sales if they do. CONFLICTED! They could also do both, as a way to serve all interests. Streamers stream, buyers buy, everyone’s happy.

iPhone 5 Specs

Ideas right now for iPhone 5 specs include a larger iPhone 5 screen , with estimates going from 4 to upwards of more than 4.5 inches. Given the new trend of a bigger phone that merges the idea of a smartphone with a small tablet is all the rage right now, so it makes sense that Apple could think about making the the iPhone 5 a little bigger in width and height for a bigger screen and would allow for a bigger battery, always needed for longer screen time. eWeek talks of the research note from Peter Misek at Jefferies Securities as part the reasoning behind this rumor.
An improved screen 50% more dpi for a sharper image is inline with the new iPad 3, which came with its stunning retina display. If you haven’t seen the difference, it’s substantial, and makes sense that a new iPhone 5 feature would be an iPhone 5 with retina display. It makes text looks super crisp at small sizes, and the iPhone would benefit greatly from it.
We can also hope for a thinner IPhone5 based on 1) touch panels 2) liquidmetal "According to industry sources, the next flagship phones of [Apple and Samsung] are expected to adopt unprecedented materials for their main bodies, that is, ceramic for the Galaxy S3 and liquid metal for iPhone 5, both being thin, light and highly resistant to external impacts," reads the report from ETNews.
4G LTE is fast becoming a standard feature for smartphones, so an iPhone5 without 4G LTE would be behind the times, not really something that Apple is known for. The iPhone 5 price is not known at this time, but the current iPhone price is set at $199-$299, so best guess estimates can start there.

Bollywood 2012-13

We have an interesting list of films from one of the leading production houses in India. Take your pick

Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has an impressive line-up of films this year and the next. While three of the company’s films have already released – the superhit Kahaani, and the very average Blood Money and Bittoo Boss – Viacom has two releases in May 2012. Ram Gopal Varma’s Department toplining Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati releases on May 18 along with What-the-Fish starring Dimple Kapadia and, quite simply, a fish.
The first part of Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur releases June 22, which is Viacom’s only project in the month. It stars Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shabana Azmi, Reemma Sen and Piyush Mishra. This is followed by the much awaited remake of Sai Paranjpye’s Chashme Baddoor on July 27, this time directed by one-time comedy king David Dhawan who needs to reclaim his throne. The film’s cast includes Ali Zafar, Tapsee Pannu, Siddharth, Rishi Kapoor and Divyendu Sharma. Exactly a month later is Sudhir Mishra’s Inkaar (working title) with Chitrangda Singh and Arjun Rampal in the lead. The Rani Mukerji-Prithviraj-starrer Aiyaa, helmed by Sachin Kudalkar, is aimed for September, although a date has not been finalised.
Akshay Kumar, one of Viacom’s fave actors, will be seen in the production house’s October release titled Oh My God!!! The film is based on the Gujarati play Krishan vs Kanhaiya. But it’s the Diwali (November) bonanza Son of Sardaar that is likely to be the biggest. The remake of Telugu flick Maryada Ramanna, it stars Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla, among others. Akshay also acts in the thriller Special 26 that might have either a December 2012 or a January 2013 release. The undated films of the production house this year are Michael and Golu Pappu.
But it’s Viacom’s 2013 projects – only three announced as of now – that promise to be more engaging than 2012’s. These are: Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag with Farhan Akhtar in the lead, and Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns with Soha Ali Khan, Jimmy Shergill and Irrfan.

Origin of Ganga River

One of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River, Devprayag is a pilgrimage town in Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the holy River Ganga at Devprayag. The small town is situated on the route from Rishikesh to Badrinath and is about 71 km from Rishikesh.
Devprayag literally means the ‘holy confluence’. It is an extremely important religious site for Hindus. Ganga, the biggest and the holiest river in India, starts its journey to the plains and further towards Bay of Bengal from Devprayag.
Situated at an altitude of over 850 metres, Devprayag is the last prayag or confluence of Alaknanda River. Vishnuprayag, Nandaprayag, Karnaprayag and Rudraprayag are the other four confluences of the river. The entire town was destroyed in 1803 by an earthquake. Nonetheless, the heritage structures of Devprayag were restored soon and the ancient charm of the holy town has been retained.
The town is named after a holy man Dev Sharma who led his ascetic life here. It is believed that through his penance, he managed to have a glimpse of God during his stay in Devprayag. Devprayag falls on the route to Char Dham pilgrimage.
The town is home to some of the most sacred shrines in the country. Chandrabadani, Raghunathji and Danda Nagraja are amongst the most oft visited shrines in Devprayag. Raghunathji temple is considered to be one of the oldest temples of Lord Rama and is believed to have been built more than 10,000 years back. The temples have heavy influence of Dravidian style of architecture.
Located in the Himalayan ranges, the pilgrim town is known for its salubrious climate and is an excellent summer getaway. Dasarathachal Peak is the highest point in the Devprayag offering a majestic view of the Himalayan ranges.
Devprayag is also known for the plethora of adventure activities it offers. Adventure sports enthusiasts would be treated to activities such as white water rafting, kayaking, etc. Rafting starts at Bhagwan and concludes at Devprayag. Kayaking is another popular water sport which can be enjoyed in the rivers of Devprayag.
Devprayag also offers several trekking trails. Some of the most famous one’s are Shivpuri-Corbett, Rishikesh-Badrinath, etc. A few treks from Shivpuri also end at Devprayag. The confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers leads is a popular camping spot.
Locals generally speak Garhwali. However, most of them can also converse in Himachali and Hindi.

Tips

  •  If you are driving down to Devprayag, drive extremely carefully and do not try to overtake as the roads are very narrow.
  • Avoid visiting Devprayag during monsoon as the region is prone to landslides.

Where to stay

There are quite a few accommodation options in Devprayag. One can find hotels, resorts, motels and lodges offering budget and mid range accommodation. Tourists can also choose to stay in the Yoga Centre where budget accommodation is provided along with satvik food (organic balanced food). Yoga sessions are conducted every morning. The Yoga Centre also offers scenic views of Alaknanda, Ganga and Bhagirathi rivers. Almost all the hotels and resorts are located on river banks.

Where to eat

Devprayag, being a temple town, is predominantly vegetarian. Most of the restaurants and street stalls serve vegetarian food. Only few hotels have in-house restaurants that serve non vegetarian delicacies. Restaurants also serve Chinese, Continental and Italian cuisines apart from Indian delicacies.

Best time to visit

Devprayag is an all weather destination. Summer months are mild with temperature hovering from seven to 31 degree Celsius. Winters can be extremely cold with mercury levels dropping to as low as zero degrees Celsius. The town receives more than moderate rainfall during monsoon. January-June and October-December is the best time to visit Devprayag.

Mittal, 61, and his family's worth came down by 4,814 million pounds, but they were still the richest in Britain with a net worth of 12.7 billion pounds, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, which annually releases the worth of Britain's wealthiest individuals.

Mittal is marginally ahead with the Russian iron ore magnate, Alisher Usmanov, who takes the second place with an estimated worth of 12.3 billion pounds.

Indian-origin industrialist brothers, Sri and Gopichand Hinduja were the fourth richest in the list with a net worth of 8.6 billion pounds, 'The Sunday Times' said in an advance release on Saturday.

The newspaper's research reveals that the rich got richer over the last year, despite a global recession the combined worth of the country's 1,000 wealthiest people was 414 billion pounds, which is an increase from last year of 4.7 percent.

Rich List compiler Philip Beresford told Sky News: "Obviously it's very difficult in this age of austerity...And the rich seem to be getting richer and richer. However, I would caution against bashing the rich because a lot of the people on this rich list are based here, they're investing in companies here, and if they get richer hopefully the rest of us will get a bit more prosperous on the rising tide of wealth."

The number of billionaires in the list is 77, with individuals needing to have at least 72 million pounds to make the top 1,000 individuals.

After Mittal and Usmanov, third on the list is Chelsea owner and oil baron Roman Abramovich, with a net worth of 9.5 billion pounds. The richest woman is former Miss UK Kirsty Bertarelli, with 7.4 billion pounds, while the Duke of Westminster's property portfolio is worth 7.3 billion pounds.

Harry Potter creator JK Rowling's worth has risen by 30 million pounds in the last year to 560 million pounds, putting her 148th on the rich list.

Delhi airport to be world's most expensive

Just last week, New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport was named as the World's Most Improved Airport in 2012, at the World Airport Awards held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Vienna.

Operator GMR Infrastructure Ltd has been permitted to raise charges, which could hurt the airport's ambition to become an aviation hub, the airline industry body said.

"India's aviation industry is already sick. This increase in Delhi's charges will put it in intensive care from a cost perspective," Albert Tjoeng, assistant director of corporate communications at International Air Transport

Air ticket prices for international flights operating from the airport would rise by an average of Rs 580, while domestic fares would increase by an average 290 rupees, GMR said in a statement.

The revised charges would push up the landing and parking fee for aircraft, apart from raising the user development fee, GMR said, a move that may discourage foreign airlines to operate to and from the Indian capital.

The prestigious awards were based on an 'Airport Customer survey ' that measured satisfaction across a range of 39 service and product Key Performance Indicators that track the customer experience at each airport, for departing, arriving and transit passengers.

Nokia Asha 302 is now available in India for Rs 6,285 in accordance with prices on online retailers FlipKart and LetsBuy reports PhoneMantra. Unlike the Asha 303, the 302 drops the touch display, so if you are keen on a touch screen then this might not be the device for you. Google bumps Gmail storage from 7.5GB to 10GB

Apart from releasing Google Drive, Google has also bumped up the storage capacity of Gmail by more than 35 percent which now totals to 10GB. Engadget reports that Gmail has already received the 10GB boost, however we guys at BGR India are yet enjoy this update.

Google Drive launches with 5GB of free space

After months of speculations and leaks, Google today officially released Google Drive, its cloud storage and collaboration service. Google Drive will offer 5GB of free online storage, which will be linked to the user’s Google account (including Google+ and Google Apps for business accounts). Read on.
While Google Drive will certainly compete with similar cloud storage apps like Dropbox, Box.net and SkyDrive, the real target for Google is Microsoft. Rather than baking it as a pure cloud storage service, Google has integrated it with Google Docs or if I may, Google Docs has been integrated into Google Drive. It has an installable app for desktop (Windows and Mac) as well as an Android app for smartphones and tablets. An iOS app is also on the way. Google is marketing Drive as a collaboration tool where users can do much more than just store files.
With Google Drive, users can not only edit stored documents but also search within scanned documents in PDF or photographs using Optical Character Recognition service or even search for photographs using Google Goggles. In a future update, users will be able to save attachments directly to Google Drive from their Gmail accounts. Google is also talking about apps that will enable users to do much more on Google Drive, for instance editing videos using WeVideo. You can check out more apps for Google Drive here.
If 5GB is not enough, users can also buy more space starting from $2.49/month for 25GB, $4.99 per month for 100GB or $49,99 for 1TB! We are currently trying out Google Drive and will be coming up with our first impressions shortly. While Google Drive might not put Dropbox and the likes out of business (yet), it will certainly make their staying alive a little difficult. Check out the Google Drive demo video below.

Fake Instagram tries to fool Android users

Last week we reported that a fake version of Angry Birds Space was doing the rounds on the Internet. And now it is time for the same to be repeated with Instagram. Security firm Sophos is reporting that if Android users download Instagram from untrusted sources then they run the risk of getting their smartphone infected. Once installed, the app will send background SMS messages to premium rate services earning its creators revenue. Sophos says the malware appears on a Russian website and feigns as the official Instagram site. The malware has been identified as Andr/Boxer-F.
Taking about the large issue of Android security, Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos said, “Android malware is becoming a bigger and bigger problem. Just last week, we saw a bogus edition of the Angry Birds Space game and it’s quite likely that whoever is behind this latest malware are also using the names and images of other popular smart phone apps as bait. Infected Androids are now effectively part of a botnet, under the control of malicious hackers. Android users need to be extremely careful when downloading applications from sites, especially when they’re not official Android markets.”

Sachin Tendulkar turns 39( short Biography)

sachin wallpapers
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai, India. He went to Shradashram Vidyamandir, a high school in Mumbai, where he began his cricketing career under his coach Ramakant Achrekar. He attended the MRF Pace Foundation during his schooldays to train as a fast bowler, but Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee, who saw him training, was not much impressed and suggested that Tendulkar should focus on his batting instead. As a young boy, Tendulkar would practice for hours at the net, and was driven hard by his coach Achrekar.
While at school, his extraordinary batting skills got noticed by the sports circuit. People felt that the young boy would soon become one of the greats in cricket. In the 1988 season, he scored a century in every inning that he played. In one of the inter school matches that year, he had an unbroken 664-run partnership with friend and team mate Vinod Kambli.
Sachin Tendulkar Biography

When he was 14, Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar a great Indian batsman of that time, gave him a pair of his own light pads. This touching gesture greatly encouraged the budding cricketer, who 20 years later broke Gavaskar’s world record of 34 Test centuries.
In 1988, when he was just under 16, he scored 100 not out in for Bombay against Gujrat. This was on his first-class debut. He then scored a century in his first appearance in the Deodhar and Duleep Trophy. Mumbai captain Dilip Vengsarkar picked him up after seeing him batting Kapil Dev in the nets. That season he was Bombay’s highest run-getter. In the Irani Trophy final, He made an unbeaten century. He scored a century in all three of his Irani Trophy, Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy debuts, and became the first player to do so. He was selected for the tour of Pakistan next year.
At the very young age of 16, Sachin played his first Test match against Pakistan in Karachi in 1989. In this Test, he received several blows to his body at the hands of Waqar Younis, a pace bowler. He made just 15 runs. In the last test in Sialkot, he had a bloody nose from a bouncer, but he went on playing. He scored better in the subsequent games, scoring 53 runs of 18 balls at Peshawar.

In the 1990 Test in England he scored a century at Old Trafford. The English were highly impressed by his disciplined display of immense maturity. He played many types of strokes. His off-side shots from the back foot greatly impressed the English. Though short in height, he confidently faced short deliveries from the English pace bowlers. His great performance made him look the embodiment of Gavaskar, India’s former famous opener.
During the 1991-1992 tour of Australia Tendulkar scored and unbeaten 148 in Sydney and another century on a bouncing pitch a Perth.
At the age of 19, Tendulkar was in England, playing for Yorkshire in 1992. He scored 1070 runs at an average of 45.25 while playing for the English county as the first overseas player.

Puttaparthy Sai Baba's death anniversary

Death mystery surrounding this spiritual leader is not unfolded even after a year after his demise. When he is alive, his powers are a big mystery and after his demise, his wealth became another mystery.

Satya Sai Baba suffered ill health for a couple of months before his death and reasons behind it are still unknown. There is no report about the cause of Baba's death with any proper medical reports in place before his death and after. There are accusations that freezer-box is purchased even before Baba is pronounced dead, while his personal doctor Safaya denied this. Even at Prashanti Nilayam, crowds got slim and the devotional place lost its charm and credibility after Baba left this world.

Crores of rupees wealth and gold was looted out of Ashram after death of Baba, as some politicians helped the insiders, say reports. Baba's brother's son Ratnakar, member of Satyasai Trust is played a key role in suppressing all other relatives to grab Baba's properties. Reports say that gold ornaments and cash worth more than 100 crores are bailed out of Ashram when Baba is not feeling well. His principle and favorite disciple Satyajit is not seen in Prashanti Nilayam and Puttaparthy after cremation ceremony of Baba. Till date, there is no official inquiry into the whole proceedings and no agency is probing the exact causes that happened in Puttaparthy which had killed Satya Sai.

Making of Rolls Royce

Who will be the next President of India?

India elects its 16th president in July this year and a few names emerge as strong contendors to the post. Here is the list of people around whom the buzz is strongest.

APJ Abdul Kalam: Dr Kalam is emerging as the most popular person to replace Pratibha Patil as the country's next President. UPA allies, Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress and the AIADMK, met to discuss who they want to support and zeroed in on the former President. Sharad Pawar-led NCP made it clear that they were seeking an apolitical candidate while the BJP said they wanted a person with a clean record.

Hamid Ansari: Apolitical, and with an excellent non-partisan record as Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, he could emerge as a consensus candidate across party lines. Only Congress could have a problem since he is seen as independent.

Pranab Mukherjee: For Mukherjee, 76, Rashtrapati Bhavan is seen as a fitting end to a long and distinguished political journey that began over four decades ago. His name had come up in 2007 but Sonia Gandhi found a flattering excuse to keep him out of Rashtrapati Bhavan: he was praised as too useful to executive governance.

Meira Kumar: Five time Member of Parliament, she was elected unopposed as the first woman Speaker of Lok Sabha on 3 June 2009. Her track record has been excellent as a Congress worker as well as a diplomat. If the UPA II is looking for another woman president, she'll be the strongest contender for the post.

Karan singh: A man of letters, the 80-year-old Rajya Sabha MP would perhaps make the perfect envoy. However, his royal status is always held against him, as it is seen as being non-representative of the aam admi.

Sam Pitroda: Advisor to PM on Public Information Infrastructure and Innovation, Pitroda's ties with the Congress go back to the days when the late Rajiv Gandhi was Prime Minister. Pitroda is seen as the man responsible for India's technology and telecommunications revolution. His name began to emerge as a strong presidential candidate when he accompanied Rahul Gandhi on political rallies in Uttar Pradesh.

Shivraj Patil: Steadfast in his loyalty to Sonia, the Congress could decide to reward him with a stint in the 340-room Rashtrapati Bhavan. However, he may not be agreeable to Congress allies. Even last time, the Congress had to drop his name as the Left-UPA 1 allies-had raised objections and indicated Ansari as their choice.

Found – the ‘God spot’ in our brain!

The areas of brain responsible for the many aspects of spiritual experiences have been revealed by US researchers. Scientists have speculated for years that the human brain features a “God spot”, one distinct area of the brain responsible for spirituality. The University of Missouri researchers have based their study on a previously published work, which indicated spiritual transcendence is associated with decreased right parietal lobe functioning, Daily Mail reported. In addition, the researchers determined that other aspects of spiritual functioning are related to increased activity in the frontal lobe.
“We have found a neuropsychological basis for spirituality, but it’s not isolated to one specific area of the brain,” said Brick Johnstone, professor of health psychology in the School of Health Professions. ”Spirituality is a much more dynamic concept that uses many parts of the brain.” In the most recent study, Johnstone studied 20 people with traumatic brain injuries affecting the right parietal lobe, the area of the brain situated a few inches above the right ear.
He surveyed participants on characteristics of spirituality, such as how close they felt to a higher power and if they felt their lives were part of a divine plan. He found that the participants with more significant injury to their right parietal lobe showed an increased feeling of closeness to a higher power. Johnstone says the right side of the brain is associated with self-orientation, whereas the left side is associated with how individuals relate to others, the newspaper added.

What led to plane crash in Pakistan?

Islamabad: Over a day after a plane crashed in Pakistan, the officials are looking for reasons that led to the disaster and claimed the lives of all 127 people on board.

The Islamabad-bound Bhoja Air passenger jet was on the airline’s maiden flight from Karachi city to Islamabad. It was carrying 118 passengers and nine crew members when it crashed on Friday in stormy weather minutes before it was to land at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport at 7 pm. All on board died.

The small domestic airline, which resumed operations in March after an 11-year pause, has said bad weather was the cause of the crash.

However, an initial report hints at a technical fault as the reason behind the crash.

The report revealed that the plane caught fire mid-air, and almost certainly exploded before the debris hit the ground.

The Civil Aviation Authority, meanwhile, has another theory.

Addressing a news conference, Civil Aviation Authority director general Nadeem Yousufzai said the Bhoja Air plane went into a sudden dive shortly before it disappeared from the radar screen and slammed into the ground.

Bhoja Air's flight B4-213 from Karachi to Islamabad suddenly dropped from 2,900 feet to 2,000 feet after it was cleared to land at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Yousufzai said.

"It just went down into a dive...That has to be investigated. What was the reason, was it a downdraft or an engine failure?" he said.

The reason for the dive would be established by the investigation that has been ordered by the government, he added.

The initial probe report submitted to the Ministry of Interior had claimed that the captain of the ill-fated Bhoja Air plane had informed the control tower that the plane was getting out of his control three minutes before the tragedy.

The plane was flying at an altitude of 2,000 metres when it had last contacted the control tower, the report added.

On Saturday, Pakistan blocked the head of Bhoja Air from leaving the country and ordered him into protective custody as it began an investigation into its second major air disaster in less than two years.

Speaking at the scene of the crash, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that Farooq Bhoja, head of Bhoja Air, had been put on the "exit control list”, meaning he can't leave Pakistan. Such a ban is often put on someone suspected or implicated in a criminal case. He said Bhoja had been ordered into protective custody and a criminal investigation launched into the incident.

He later said that the airline "seems to be at fault as it had acquired a very old aircraft”.

"If the airline management doesn't have enough money it doesn't mean you go and buy a 30-year-old or more aircraft as if it were a rickshaw and start an airline."

Separately, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said he has ordered a judicial commission to probe the accident and said, "It is not fair to reach any conclusion without a proper investigation."

Bhoja Air started domestic operations in Pakistan in 1993 and eventually expanded to international flights to the United Arab Emirates in 1998. The company suspended operations in 2001 due to financial difficulties but resumed them in 2012.

According to the website www.airfleets.net, the Bhoja jet was 32 years old and first saw service with British Airways in South Africa. Thirty-two years is not especially old for an aircraft, and age by itself is rarely an important factor in crashes, said Nasim Ahmed, a former crash investigator.

Samsung Galaxy S III leaked in Vietnam

Whoa, there. We're still weeks away from an official big stage unveiling, but it looks like Samsung's next Galaxy phone is already out there. Vietnamese site Tinhte, which has past form on these kind of things, has got it hands on the GT-I9300 -- purportedly the Galaxy S III if Samsung decides to follow its own naming convention. According to the specifications leaked, the phone houses a 4.6-inch display at 720 x 1184 resolution (320 DPI, depending on whether you include those on-screen Android buttons), while a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor works on keeping the Ice Cream Sandwich OS running smoothly. Other hardware mentions include 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage plus microSD capability.
According to Tinhte, the 2,050mAh battery will arrive with NFC capabilities baked in, like the Galaxy Nexus before it. There's an iffy plastic rim surrounding to the whole device that has apparently been added not to ruin the surprise of how the device looks ahead of its official launch. While we've seen some similar hardware leaks already, this video makes a very strong case for it being the real deal. Take a look for yourself right after the break, alongside a picture of the back.
Update: It looks our source link has disappeared and the video has now gone private. Fortunately, we grabbed our own copy of the video and you can find it below.
Update 2: We reached out to Samsung for a comment, and here's the not-so-surprising response:

KKR came up 3rd position

In one of the more one-sided games of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders breezed to an eight-wicket win and made amends for fluffing a chase against the same opponents, Kings XI Punjab, three days ago. A deflated Kings XI limped to 124 on their home surface after winning the toss but there were no twists as Knight Riders, led by Gautam Gambhir, attained the target with a risk-free approach.
Gambhir remained strong square of the wicket on both sides, cutting when given width and nudging away deliveries on the pads.
Bisla launched Harmeet Singh for a six over mid-off but was bowled dragging one on to his stumps just before the halfway stage. With a paltry target to defend, Kings XI could have attacked more, kept a slip or a couple of men in close catching positions to force a mistake. Gambhir had the freedom to use his feet against the spinners, getting to his half-century off 36 balls.

Mac Flashback malware still a threat: Norton

Norton Anti-Virus maker Symantec has released a report, which claims that currently there are 270,000 computers that are still affected by the Flashback malware caused by faulty Java on Mac OS X powered computers. While Apple has released a fix of its own, Norton has announced that it has a malware removal tool of its own.
Norton notes that the Flashback bot poses as a common plug-in for Internet browsers, and is capable of stealing passwords and personal information. Previously, we had reported that Kaspersky had released a web tool, which helps Mac users detect the bot on their machines. Initially, security company Dr Web detected the malware.

New iPad Launch in India

Ever since Apple announced its plans to launch the new iPad in India on April 27, I have been flooded with questions regarding the 4G variant and whether it will work in India or not. Judging by the questions, it seems a lot of people are confused about 4G and its backward compatibility with 3G networks, among other things. Read on to bust some myths about the iPad 4G.
The iPad 4G’s India launch comes barely days after Airtel launched the country’s first 4G LTE network. It is only logical for users to believe that the iPad would play nice with Airtel’s 4G network, considering it too is the first 4G-enabled tablet to be available here. Unfortunately, Apple’s iPad is tuned to work only with LTE networks in the US and Canada. Blame it on different LTE technology as well as the spectrum band on which they work. The iPad 4G supports only 700MHz and 2100MHz bands for LTE while Indian 4G LTE networks will run on the 2300 MHz band. However, the iPad 4G is backwards compatible, which means it will run on our current 3G networks just like the iPad 2.
Personally, I am not convinced why Apple should market it as a 4G device when it is not going to be compatible with any 4G network that will be launched soon in the country. Yes, Apple gives a disclaimer – 4G LTE is supported only on AT&T and Verizon networks in the U.S. and on Bell, Rogers and Telus networks in Canada – but calling it a 4G product will create unnecessary confusion and even mislead buyers, when it does not work with 4G network(s) in the country.
Apple is already chalking it out with Australia’s consumer watchdog, which wants Apple to rename the iPad 4G and a similar body in the UK is evaluating whether it should initiate a probe. Technically, Apple might be correct to call it a 4G product as it supports that network in two countries but there is just no need for Apple to claim something its product cannot do in the market where it is being sold. The iPad already is dominating the tablet market by a huge margin and it can do without this unnecessary controversy.
On a personal front, I would be saddened to see a company I love and respect for its products, to be embroiled in a controversy just over the name of the product. I understand Apple would like its products to be called the same thing all over the world but when a product is named after the network it supports, things get murky. It is also not unheard of for companies to launch a specific variant for a few countries and one “rest of the world” model. This is being done when it comes to selling 4G LTE smartphones.
Having said that, I believe this is going to be a problem for Apple only for the first few weeks post which no one is going to care about what it is called. Like one of my friends on Twitter said, “It will be my iPad. That is all!”

Rajasthan consign Deccan to third defeat

Rajasthan Royals 197 for 5
Deccan Chargers 196 for 2

Not even eight days rest, their best efforts with the bat and Amit Mishra's three wickets were enough to earn Deccan Chargers a first win in IPL 2012. After Kumar Sangakkara and Shikhar Dawan put on the highest first-wicket partnership of the season, and JP Duminy and Daniel Christian blasted 77 off the last five overs, Chargers piled on a hefty score for Rajasthan Royals to chase, but they were unable to defend it on a flat pitch with small boundaries.
Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane did the groundwork and Brad Hodge finished off fiercely. Almost everything Chargers did, Royals did better. Although Dravid and Rahane shared a stand of only 62, compared to Sangakkara and Dhawan's 94 , the Royals pair scored at a faster rate. They went at 10.62 runs to the over compared to Sangakkara and Dhawan's 8.81. Chargers had amassed 119 for 2 after 15 overs, Royals had the same score after 13. Duminy's 58 came at a strike rate of 223.07, Brad Hodge's 48 came at a strike rate of 228.57, and that was perhaps the difference between the two sides.

PAL-V flying car makes debut flight

From a distance it looks like a vehicle built for the road, albeit a slightly unusual one. But on a straight stretch of tarmac or grass this machine transforms, giving it the ability to take to the skies. The PAL-V took its maiden flight in March, and is certified for the air as well as the road. It needs only 165 metres to take off and, depending on weight, can fly for up to 500 kilometres, or 315 miles.

Balayya eyeing Nayan once again

Amidst the big heroes of the Tollywood circuit, it has been hard to find a proper golden pair in the last decade or so. Prior to that, it was Chiranjeevi with Radha and Nandamuri Balakrishna with Vijayasanthi. But now, it appears that Balayya seems to have found another perfect partner.

She is the gracious beauty Nayantara. Apparently, Balayya paired with Nayan and scored a big hit in the form of 'Simha'. Their onscreen chemistry continued with the magnum opus 'Sri Rama Rajyam'. Now, it is heard that Balayya is eyeing Nayan once again and this is for a new project.

Sources say Balayya is looking at Nayan to be the leading lady for his ambitious venture, the remake of 'Narthanasala'. This would mean that Nayan will essay the role of Draupadi. Buzz is that Balayya has already made preparations to revamp the project so let us see if Nayan says yes or no.

'Jalayagnam' Is YSR's Costliest Corruption'

More than 35000 crore rupees are said to be defrauded by YSR's government under 'Jalayagnam', an ambitious irrigation scheme. CAG report copy obtained through Right To Information act is revealing many interesting things. According to CAG reports, abnormalities are present right from the starting of this scheme in 2004. Rather fixing the standard rates by government, works were given away on a basis where payment will be made in lump sum by approximating the work done. A major irregularity was found among the surveys conducted during the initiation of these irrigation projects. For example, in Chevella project, 968 crores were spent on surveys unlike the scheduled 250 crores. Companies like SEW, Maytas and Ramky have received a 6-7 times excessive amounts for survey in contrast to the amount listed for spending. Speaking about this, Independent MLA Nagam stated that 'Jalayagnam is the top scam done by fraudulent YSR'. Opposition parties already submitted their 'Public Accounts Committee' report about Jalayagnam to the speaker and it is yet to be made public. Can Congress still float their ship with YSR's photo even after making this news public? Please come up with comments for this post!

Neeku Naku Dash Dash Review

Movie : Neeku Naaku Dash Dash Rating: 2.5/5 Cast : Prince, Nandita, Teertha and others Directed by : Teja Produced by : Anand Prasad Banner : Bhavya Creations Music : Yashwanth Nag Release Date : 2012-04-13 Neeku Naaku Dash Dash is a casual film with routine script. It doesn't have the elements to make the audiences involved in the film. There are many boring moments in the film. First half is pretty mediocre. Second half is slightly better with story moving to lush green locales. There are many ups and downs throughout the film. First half an hour and last half an hour are the biggest drawbacks. It is better in the remaining part but not good enough to impress the audience. The film is likely to leave a below average to average impression. Teja's trademark element that made his films successful has been missing in this one. Lack of powerful villain made the climax part very weak. There are shades of Shopping Mall movie in the backdrop. Enough home work is not done and hence NNDD ended up as a half baked product. Although made at a low budget, the film will have to struggle hard to get back the investments amidst the tough competition.

IPL5 KKR vs KXIP( Highlights )

A triple strike from Piyush Chawla in the middle of the Knight Riders innings and last over heroics from Harmeet Singh brought Kings XI back from the dead to beat their hosts in unlikely fashion. After posting a below par 134 and allowing Knight Riders to canter to 71 for 2 at the halfway stage of the chase, Kings XI relied on a spectacular effort from their legspinner to negate Sunil Narine's jaw-dropping 5 for 19. Narine's strangling efforts and Rajat Bhatia and Shakib al Hasan's supporting efforts kept the lid on Kings XI. Knight Riders were favoured to chase down a moderate target after Gautam Gambhir started with a speedy 22 and Manvinder Bisla and Manoj Tiwary steered the reply with a stand of 43. But, the home side unravelled after Chawla removed three of their key batsmen, Bisla, Yusuf Pathan and Shakib. Debrabata Das threatened to take the match to its expected conclusion with his aggressive innings but a slew of legbreaks from Harmeet ensured Kings XI defended what seemed hard to defend at one stage. Gambhir began in a hurry. The early loss of Jacques Kallis - caught spectacularly by Paras Dogra at point - did nothing to deter him as he collected boundaries at will before offering Dimitri Mascarenhas a simple return catch. Despite the departure of their captain, Bisla and Tiwary continued the task stoically and formed a partnership that would not have been out of place in longer formats of the game. They rotated strike, searched for singles and only targeted the boundary when they got a bad ball. They seemed certain to guide Knight Riders to an easy win but the match turned when Tiwary was trapped in front by Bhargav Bhatt. A tiny wound had been inflicted on Knight Riders and Chawla prised it open. He bowled Bisla with a delivery that did not turn and meted out the same to Yusuf Pathan with a legbreak in the same over. After 14 overs, Knight Riders were 85 for 5. Chawla had pulled them back to exactly the position Kings XI had been in at that stage - 85 for 3. He struck again, with a googly to Shakib al Hasan, to have the Bangladesh all-rounder caught of his own bowling. Das defied the Kings XI charge. He started by smacking a full toss from Chawla for a straight six. As full deliveries were offered to him, he smoked them to the boundary. Ryan ten Doeschate provided some support and the pair took Knight Riders to within 13 runs of victory with two overs left. Praveen Kumar gave away only four of those runs, bowling an over punctuated with yorkers and Harmeet had nine runs to work with in the final over. His seemingly harmless legbreaks had ten Doeschate frustrated as he played on. Harmeet then proved impossible to get away as he made up for Kings XI's lapses with the bat through cunning bowling. Kings XI saw off 36 dot balls in their innings and allowed Knight Riders' attack to create pressure and use it to their advantage. Narine struck twice in his opening spell - when Adam Gilchrist top-edged and attempted pull to depart for 5 and by bowling Shaun Marsh with a delivery that turned away from the left-hander. Together with Kallis, he ensured Kings XI crawled to 31 for 2 after seven overs and that they did not score a single boundary in five of them. If not for the half-century stand between Mandeep Singh and David Hussey, they would have not got off the starting blocks at all. The pair settled in on the surface, started to time the ball better and occasionally challenged the fielders, beating them for boundaries and pushing them hard to turn singles into twos. Old-fashioned grit and grind helped them build but just as they were looking to launch, Mandeep slog swept straight to deep mid-wicket. They were never really able to push after that as Hussey was run-out soon after and the dominoes fell steadily after that. Bhatia took two wickets in his final over and Narine also struck twice on being brought back on the attack. Kings XI scored 30 runs off the last two overs which, in the end, proved to be the difference.
Innings Dot balls 4s 6s Powerplay (0-6) 16-20 overs NB/Wides
Kings XI Punjab 36 7 5 26-2 47-5 0/1
